Working Groups

Structure of the Regional Development Council

The Role of the Management Working Groups

The Management Working Group (MWG) is the key body assisting cross-jurisdictional Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) to drive processes within the Standing Committee on Regional Development (SCORD) and the Regional Development Council (RDC). The MWG incorporates all the functions of the previously established SCORD Working Groups.

The role of the MWG is to progress SCORD and RDC action items to conclusion and, as required, provide coordination on significant policy issues. The MWG is also the appropriate forum to scope new topics for RDC and CEO consideration.

SCORD Endorsement

On 18 May 2007 SCORD endorsed the Management Working Group (MWG) structure as a replacement for the previously established Working Groups.
